Inflation forecast for January

Islandsbanki Research has published a new inflation forecast. Highlights:

- Forecast 0.9% rise in the CPI in January
- Inflation to increase from 7.5% to 7.9%
- Effect of tax inreases on CPI 1% in January, 0.1-0.2% in February
- Forecast 2.2% CPI rise in Q1 2010, inflation to peak at 9.4% í March
- 4% inflation by year-end
